| Race Summary |
|---|
MACHO AGAIN lunged at the start, moved up from outside nearing the first turn, angled in approaching the backstretch, settled in good position while saving ground for six furlongs, moved out midway on the turn, waited for room while in traffic between horses nearing the quarter pole, altered course outside TIZIZ THEN in upper stretch, made a run to challenge in midstretch, took the lead inside the furlong marker, battled into deep stretch and held off PYRO under brisk urging. PYRO checked after being pinched back while in tight at the start, raced well back for seven furlongs, circled four wide at the quarter pole then closed late under strong encouragement but couldn't overtake the winner while gaining steadily in the late stages. TIZ NOW TIZ THEN raced in good position along the backstretch, made a steady run while three wide to threaten on the turn, accelerated to the front in upper stretch, relinquished the lead to the winner leaving the eighth pole and continued on well to gain a share. TALE OF EKATI was pinched a bit at the start, steadied along the inside on the first turn, raced in midpack for six furlongs, closed the gap to challenge on the turn then weakened inside the quarter pole. ANAK NAKAL raced far back after breaking slowly, saved ground to the turn and passed tiring rivals. MINT LANE moved out on the first turn, dueled along the backstretch, opened a clear advantage on the far turn, led to the top of the stretch and gave way. DA' TARA broke inward at the start, rushed up to gain the early advantage, dueled on the rail to the far turn and gave way steadily thereafter. |
