(among many other wins) in the Cigar Mile G1 which is commemorated here in the Aqueduct paddock.

Margano broke a beat slow and found himself behind a wall of horses. He was bumped and checked so hard he dropped into last place. When he got racing room going wide in the stretch, he moved up well, but had too much to overcome. In spite of it, he was less than 5 lengths off the winner and he learned a lot from the race. MARGANO BATH TIME   7/7/11 - BEAU CHOIX won the Rob n' Gin Stakes at Belmont Park - by a nose!!! Beau Choix rallied along the rail in the stretch under Ramon Dominguez and outfinished Pocket Cowboys to win the $60,000 Rob N Gin Stakes by a nose at Belmont Park.......Chart
